As Washington’s only Korean-language public radio stations, Radio Washington’s range extends East-West from Bowie, Glen Burnie, Maryland to Front Royal, Warrenton, Virginia and North-South from Frederick, Baltimore, Maryland to Fredericksburg, Culpeper, Virginia.
The station first went live on the air in 1994 with the call letters ‘WDCT’. Radio Washington and its sister newspaper, Miju News are owned and operated by Bareun Media, Virginia-based, family-owned company. Bareun Media recently acquired Radio Washington in June of 2019.
